The Smart Sensor Mapping System was born from research at Visayas State University in Baybay City, Leyte, Philippines. Agricultural scientists and engineers collaborated to address the critical challenges facing Filipino farmers — inconsistent crop yields, resource wastage, and lack of data-driven farming tools.
What started as a university research project in 2019 has grown into a comprehensive IoT platform serving over 120 farms across the Visayas region. Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise in electronics engineering, computer science, and agronomy to deliver solutions that are both technically advanced and practically usable by farmers of all technology backgrounds.
